I am loving all of the wireless technology. Anything that makes my life easier is a win in my book. I like to take a lot of photos of my children, either on my digital camera or my iPhone. The problem is that the photos often stay there rather than getting uploaded and printed from my computer. Sometimes it’s because I’ve misplaced my cord and sometimes it’s because I’m just being lazy.
Anytime “wireless” is an option, I’ll take it. Who needs extra wires and cords hanging around the house when you can go without? With an Eye-Fi card you can upload photos and video from your camera and iPhone wirelessly (via a free iPhone app)! Instantly share your uploads to one of more than 25 sharing, printing, blogging or social networks. The Eye-Fi card is essentially an SD memory card with Wi-Fi built in. Access is available through your wireless network or Wi-Fi hotspot. Eye-Fi is available in 3 models:
- Connect X2 4GB– supports photo and video uploads, online sharing and endless memory
- Explore X2 8GB– all of the features of “Connect” plus automatic geotagging and hotspot access
- Pro X2 8GB– all of the features of “Explore” plus wireless RAW uploads and Ad Hoc transfers
It should be noted that the Connect model can be upgraded with the hotspot and geotagging options for a yearly fee. All models are compatible with a free Eye-Fi iPhone app which allows you to wirelessly upload photos and videos from your iPhone.
Enable Endless Memory to automatically free up space once your photos and videos have been delivered and never run out of memory again! Prices start at around $50.
The price is worth it for me. I especially love the idea of the iPhone app because I often take pictures that I need to use right away in reviews and such and it will save me a lot of time by being able to upload them immediately without the use of a cord. I also love that I’ll make much better use of my camera’s memory by not leaving photos sitting on it for ages.

I’ve been dying to get one of these! As a food blogger, I take a ton of pictures that need to be uploaded daily. I could definitely use this!
I know-cool concept huh? I wish we are able to do a giveaway with this review. Maybe sometime in the future…
