I love clothes and shopping but I’m sort of a plain jane at heart. I want to look stylish but sometimes I just feel ridiculous because I have no idea what I’m doing. I don’t want to look like I tried too hard, or worse yet, failed at look I was trying to achieve. That’s why I almost always consult my Chatalog stylist and run things past her first. I recently received several pieces from the Jennifer Lopez Collection at Kohl’s so of course I asked my Chatalog stylist for some advice. Here are some things I put together with some help from Robin:
This Jennifer Lopez Solid Tunic Sweater is great with leggings or skinny jeans. Since it’s a solid color there are lots of different ways to wear it. You could add a scarf or a chunky, fun necklace. Or, as Robin suggested to me, you could add a belt! Oddly enough, I couldn’t find a belt in my wardrobe (time for more shopping!) but I did find a thin scarf which I tied in a bow around my waist:
I’m actually not sure if this falls into the ridiculous category or not but I thought it looked cute. The Relic Wrapped Buckle Belt is actually what was suggested.
The Jennifer Lopez Snakeskin Roll-Tab Chiffon Blouse is very similar to the Jennifer Lopez Snakeskin Shirt Dress I reviewed a few weeks ago so I wore it basically the same way. Instead of leggings I wore black Jennifer Lopez Skinny Jeans and some A2 by Aerosoles Ride Out Tall Riding Boots. Add a pretty silver bracelet and you’re set! 
The Jennifer Lopez 1/4 Zip Mixed Media Top is a little more my speed and though I would have chosen one of the other 3 colors this top comes in this ended up being one of my favorite shirts. It’s much more flattering in person I think. The material is soft (but a little prone to wrinkling). I added a magenta colored cami and wore the shirt unzipped a bit with the long layer of the cami showing to add some color.
Here’s another one I think is much more flattering in person. The Jennifer Lopez Solid Color Dolman top is available in several bright colors however I think it looks best in black. The drapery falls beautifully and is super comfortable to wear. I just throw this on with some jeans and add a silver bracelet. It’s easy and it looks stylish without much thought.
The Jennifer Lopez Embellished Chiffon Henley comes in blue and black. The material and embellishments on this shirt make it feel more on the dressier side.
This doesn’t need much dressing up in my opinion and would be great for the holidays. A nice hand bag and some cute shoes and you’re ready to roll.
The Jennifer Lopez Chiffon Trim Sweater is an interesting piece. I love the layered look. A knit sweater is layered over sheer chiffon sleeves and longer length hem. It comes in 4 different colors and provides a great canvas to show off a pretty necklace.
Mix and match these pieces with some great accessories and shoes for a look you’re comfortable with. You’ll find incredible deals at Kohl’s when you combine coupon with Kohl’s cash. If you’re shopping online don’t forget your cash back!
