As a little girl, I loved crafts. It shouldn’t surprise me that my older daughter loves them too. Sometimes she takes creativity to a whole new level. If I don’t keep her crafts stocked, she digs around the house and makes all sort of brilliant things out of tape and whatever else she can find. Still, I like to provide her with things to keep her happy and busy. Fibre-Craft Creative Hands Craft Kits for Kids are the perfect solution. Although they come with project sheets that suggest the ways to use the supplies, kids are free to use their imaginations and create as they please. There are 3 fun kits to choose from for only $12.99 each:
This Creative Fun tote contains all sorts of craft pieces that can be used to design bugs, cupcakes, pencil toppers and so much more! McKinley was drawn to the cupcake with her own spin and she gave the pom pom teddy bear a try too:
He’s missing some ears but she was pretty proud of her work nonetheless! This kit is designed for ages 6+ but little sister (age 4) got in on the action too.
The Paper Pals Bugs & Flowers kit is super cute. It comes with colorful paper plates and paper cups that can be transformed into a variety of bugs and flowers. I love this kit because even if we run out of supplies, we usually have paper plates on hand and now McKinley knows what she can do with them in a crafting pinch. This kit contains enough supplies to make 12 big projects!
I think the Zoo 2 Do kit is my personal favorite. You can make 25 different zoo themed projects. All three of my kids worked together on some of these projects and make some 3D animals just by punching out shapes and adhering them together with sticky foam squares. This kit also has the adorable pencil toppers. Here are a few of the projects my kids did:
Fibre-Craft Creative Hands Craft Kits for Kids are at retailers Fred Meyer, Meijer and Kroger. The totable kits are great as gifts, for birthday parties or playdates, even for picnics or camping! All you need is some glue. My kids also liked using scissors and coloring supplies but for most of it, those supplies aren’t even needed.

This is a very touchy subject, but I have to put my 2 cents in, for what it’s worth, that is! ? My husband and I both played sports in the typical demanding schedule of high school . He even went as far as to be drafted for baseball only to be cut for permanent injury , extremely heart breaking to say the least! We now have an extremely gifted little 10 yr old athlete that can’t help but want to do everything he can possibly put into a 10 yr olds schedule ! My husband and I have both required several surgeries for the past damage that we inflicted upon ourselves by “pushing through the pain” so to speak! We are both in our 40’s and still require a few more nips in the arthritis dept. But I have to say modern medicine has come miles from what it was 3ven as close as the late 90’s . I do not regret that I needed 2 back surgeries (2 yrs apart) and 2 shoulder surgeries (also 2 yrs apart) to be in the physical condition that I am in now. All were minimally invasive, though extremely terrifying to me, and out patient surgeries. But would I want the same for my son!? Absolutely not! We have stressed deeply to him that his body is his alone and he is responsible for everything that goes into it and whatever crazy acrobatic thing he does to injure it! And he will suffer the consequences of being sidelined or even cut as part of the punishment. It works maybe 10% of the time,LOL! In the meantime we monitor every ball thrown, every mile run and every bit of food and beverage that goes into him and pray that living by example will help in the future! But our biggest problem of all is the coaches themselves by far! Requiring us to take off work and cut class by half a day so we could make a 9pm ballgame 7 hrs away and feel bad if we let the team down by not doing so, is a perfect example of “way out of control organizations ” . This past weekend our world series goes into rain delay from 9pm until 2:30am and would have gone longer had the city officials of the town not shut them down for the night! Don’t forget these are 10 yr old boys also! Could I blame the coach? Sure but that would be my husband! Is he fed up with the demands thesee organizations put on the teams that are just wanting to be competitive with their sports, absolutely! We had to raised $500 just to enter the tournament, so we were definitely stuck with their demands especially since we were winning the championship game 5 to 0 in the 3rd inning prior to rain delay. Could we have said “No we’re done with you! ” !? Yes, but try explaining to a 10 yr old that has worked his tail off doing car washes and practicing like there was no tomorrow that he’s going
