“Instead of relying on nonrenewable energy sources like oil and natural gas, many municipalities are developing eco-friendly energy sources such as solar and wind power. FOr just a few dollars more per month, you can sigh up for an alternative enery program — and a portion of your monthly bill will go toward funding energy sources that will safeguard against depleting resources.
If your energy company doesn’t offer alternative power, write them a letter letting them know that it’s important to you.”
