Today’s Tip from The Green Year: 365 Small Things You Can Do to Make a Big Difference: Snip the plastic rings that are used to package six packs of beer or soda.
“We’ve all heard horror stories about plastic six-pack rings suffocating fish and getting tangles around the beaks of birds and other wildlife. Remember to snip the rings before tossing them in the trash. Better yet, eliminate them altogether by buying single sodas or cases that come in cardboard packaging.
