Today was the first day back to school since last week and only the 3rd school day this entire MONTH so far! We are finally seeing the light of day after Snowpocalypse 2019. We’ve only gotten mail once in the past two weeks too. Luckily it contained our Gramma in a Box subscription. Seriously, Gramma in a Box saved the day AGAIN. We are super grateful for Gramma Terry and her dedication to these cookie decorating and candy craft boxes that we receive each month. They are filled with love and we never tire of them!
This month’s kit was Valentine themed. Since we’ve been stuck home for so long we were running out of things to do and good things to eat but Gramma in a Box saved us! Last night my girls set to work on the two candy crafts and cookie decorating that comes with each Gramma in a Box delivery.
The first craft was these adorable Valentine Candy Cane Hearts. Unfortunately several of the candy canes were broken. It happens sometimes but has never ruined a project. These were a little more difficult to make but came out just fine. The melting chocolate in the middle helped to hold the candy canes together. The kit comes with project cards that have clear and easy to follow directions and tips from Gramma to make sure your project comes out just right. This was one of our all time favorite projects.
The second project used the left over melting chocolate from project number one by adding crispy cereal, mixing and adding a variety of Valentine themed toppings. Mini Valentine paper cupcake cups were included with the kit and just add to the overall cuteness of this fun and easy project.
Last but certainly not least was the cookie decorating. This is always my girls’ favorite part. Gramma always provide 3 different colors of frosting, 8 sugar cookies and fun decorating options (sprinkles, candy, colored sugar). None of our cookies have ever been broken in shipping by they way! They are packaged well and always delicious! Gramma offers tips for decorating the cookies. My girls love trying them out and adding their own creative spins on them.
Some of them came out really great this time around. Their decorating skills are definitely improving! As mom, there are many things to appreciate about Gramma in a Box. The convenience alone makes this subscription well worth it. It would take me a long time to shop and gather the supplies for these crafts. While some items could be found at the grocery store, they often contain some specialty items you might find at a craft store. Purchasing all of the supplies would cost way more than you pay for the Gramma in a Box delivery. With Gramma in a Box, everything arrives neatly and ready to use. The kits contain just enough product for each craft. They’re pre-portioned and ready to use. My girls, ages 8 and 10, do everything on their own with no help from me. I love that this is something they look forward to doing together every month.
Right now you can use code 10off (all lower case off) for $10 off the 3 or 6 month prepaid program. You can also purchase an individual box if you just want to give it a try! You can find out more at www.grammainabox.com. You can also visit Gramma in a box on Facebook and Instagram for videos of each project and more!
Complimentary product was provided for this review, however, all opinions expressed are my own. I was also compensated for my time. See Mommies With Cents disclosure policy for more details.
