We were in for an extra treat this month because my in-laws were in town when our Gramma in a Box delivery arrived. My youngest daughter asked Grandma if she wanted to do Gramma in a Box with her. She said she’d watch and joined her in the kitchen. Of course, she couldn’t resist joining in once she saw the cookie decorating!
This month’s box was St. Patrick’s Day themed. It arrived in plenty of time to complete before the holiday. In fact, we celebrated a little early!
With a Gramma in a Box Candy Crafts and Cookie Decorating Kit, Gramma does all the work so you can have all the fun. Everything you need is neatly packaged and delivered to your home so you can make two candy craft projects and cookie decorating with no baking or shopping required!

Each box is only $22 which is really an exceptional value when you consider the cost of buying all the supplies in full sizes and the time it would take to track them down! Not to mention the time it would take to bake the cookies and make the colored frosting!

The first project from the February box was “Shamrock Pretzel Pops”. For this project you melt the melting chocolate and use it like glue to assemble pretzels into a shamrock shape. Dip each pretzel stick into the melted chocolate and set them around the lollipop stick. Add a green candy to the middle and add the sprinkles of your choice. If some of the pretzels are broken you can “glue” them back together using a bit of melting chocolate.

“Gramma” gives clearly written instructions with photos for every project and even offers extra tips! Kids can learn to follow simple directions and practice their reading while having a lot of fun in the kitchen!
The second project was Crispy Pot O’ Gold Cups. Using the leftover melting chocolate, add the corn pop cereal and mix. Divide the mixture equally into the paper cups then sprinkle with the St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles. Grandma liked this treat best!

The cookie decorating project is something we always look forward to.You always get three colors of frosting and a variety of different cookie shapes plus sprinkles, candies and/or colored sugar to decorate them! You can also use any leftover ingredients from the first two projects to really get creative! This month we got two sizes of Shamrock cookies, pot of gold cookies and leprechaun hat cookies! This project also came with green, white and yellow frosting, gold confetti sprinkles, green colored sugar, rainbow sprinkles, and St. Patrick’s Day colored tiny ball sprinkles.

It was really fun to finally share this experience with our actual grandma this month! They really enjoyed spending time together and doing these projects.
Next month brings some exciting changes to Gramma in a Box. They’ve had an overwhelming requests to include MORE cookies in their boxes and have taken it to heart. April’s box will include a full DOZEN cookies instead of the normal 8 cookies. You’ll also get 4 colors of frosting instead of 3 AND extra sprinkles! In order to make it all fit in the box, the candy crafts will be reduced from two projects to one however it will make 8 treats instead of 6. You’ll still have 20 finished products to eat and share and the price stays the same! We are pretty excited about this changes since we love the cookie decorating so much!
More about Gramma in a Box
“Gramma Terry” started making Gramma in a Box for her grandkids who live in a different state. She’d send them the kit and they’d do the projects “together” via Skype. Now she spreads the joy to anyone that wants a subscription! She comes up with themed cookies and candy crafts each month then puts together detailed instructions and bonus tips. The contents of each box are always very organized. The directions are easy to follow so it’s clear which ingredients go with which project. You can see all of the Gramma in a Box projects we’ve done here.
This is the perfect gift to send to a child, especially since other things are so limited due to the pandemic. It’s a fun project that promotes quality family time and is something to look forward to each month. You can subscribe with an auto debit program for only $22 per month. Prepay for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription and save 10%! Order by the 3rd of the month to receive that month’s box. You can find out more at www.grammainabox.com. You can also visit Gramma in a box on Facebook and Instagram for videos of each project and more!
