We were super excited for this month’s Gramma in a Box because it has the cutest theme! Honestly, the themes are always really cute and so much fun but we love donuts and cupcakes a little extra.
With a Gramma in a Box Candy Crafts and Cookie Decorating Kit, Gramma does all the work so you can have all the fun. Everything you need is neatly packaged and delivered to your home so you can make two candy craft projects and cookie decorating with no baking or shopping required!

Each box is only $22 which is really an exceptional value when you consider the cost of buying all the supplies in full sizes and the time it would take to track them down! Not to mention the time it would take to bake the cookies and make the colored frosting!

The first project from the January box was “Donut Pops”. For this project you melt the melting chocolate and put dollops onto the parchment paper which is included in your kit. Press in the lollypop sticks before the chocolate sets up. Then add the Froot Loop cereal in a flower pattern. Be sure to save about half of the melting chocolate because you’ll need it for the next project.

“Gramma” gives clearly written instructions with photos for every project and even offers extra tips! My girls have done Gramma in a Box project so many times they feel like experts and sometimes forget to read the directions. For example, the second project was Cupcake Clouds. You mix the mini marshmallows with the remaining melting chocolate, add a spoonful to each paper cup and then top with sprinkles. My girls mixed the sprinkles in so they were coated with the melting chocolate. It wasn’t the best look. They added more sprinkles to the top.

The cookie decorating is always a lot of fun. For this third project you always get three colors of frosting and a variety of different cookie shapes plus sprinkles, candies and/or colored sugar to decorate them! You can also use any leftover ingredients from the first two projects to really get creative! This month we got two sizes of cupcake cookies and two sizes of donut cookies. I loved the colors of frosting that came with this project — white, peach and baby blue — SO SO CUTE!

As always, my girls had a lot of fun doing these projects together. I love that they always have this to look forward to every month. They are so often doing their own thing that it’s really nice that this brings them together, at least for a little bit. And we all share their completed projects for a sweet treat for the whole family!
More about Gramma in a Box
“Gramma Terry” started making Gramma in a Box for her grandkids who live in a different state. She’d send them the kit and they’d do the projects “together” via Skype. Now she spreads the joy to anyone that wants a subscription! She comes up with themed cookies and candy crafts each month then puts together detailed instructions and bonus tips. The contents of each box are always very organized. The directions are easy to follow so it’s clear which ingredients go with which project. You can see all of the Gramma in a Box projects we’ve done here.
