So, I am loving the Target deal this week regarding the snacks. Marin has created a good start to the deal, but I’d like to revamp it just a tad. The deal is that selected snacks are 4/$9 at Target this week. If you buy 4, you get a $5 Target giftcard back. This deal works if you have a lot of the coupons. If you do not, it’s still a good deal without that many coupons. Here is what I suggest:
Buy (4) Pop-Tarts 4/$9
Buy (4) Rice Krispies treats 4/$9
Buy (4) Keebler Cookies 4/$9
Use (2) $1/2 Pop Tarts Coupons (Kellogs Back To School ad, exp. 9/28) and
Use (2) $1/2 Rice Krispies Coupons (from the Kelloggs Back To School ad, exp. 9/28)
Use (2) $1/2 Keebler cookies Coupons (from the Kelloggs Back To School ad, exp. 9/28)
Use (4) $0.50/1 Pop Tarts Target IP here
Subtotal: $19
Receive $15 Target Gift Card back
You will have spent $4 after it is done. But, WAIT! There’s more. Mail in the $10 Kellogg’s rebate to receive $10 back! You have to buy 10 products in one purchase to receive this rebate, so you might as well buy 12 in order to get another $5 Target gift card. You can alter this deal with using different snacks and make even more money if you don’t have all of the coupons because you can use the Target IP for the Pop-Tarts. Yay!
I did this deal! I bought PopTarts, Cookies and Eggo’s, to maximize my coupons and minimize OOP. I even had a coupon for buy PopTarts/Eggo, get $2 off a gallon of milk. I just did it Monday morning, after reading Marin’s post.
$17 OOP(I love it when the total is a flat dollar amount) – $10 GC (I didn’t do the four, since I did the Eggo for milk) – $10 MIR = pay me $3 to take it home.
