When my first born was a baby we bought Guitar Hero. We LOVED playing it with friends and often found our weekends filled with music and friendly competition. Two more kids followed shortly after and social time took on a different form. Guitar Hero was closeted. Our kids are growing up now — our youngest is five. I think it’s about time to introduce them to their parent’s inner rock stars with Guitar Hero Live!

The game has a live-action story mode so you can work at progressing through the game. It also features the first ever playable music video network currently with two 24 hour channels and hundreds of playable songs. You can sing along with the songs in the game with the on-screen lyrics for full-on band mode! GHTV will be updating with new channels and music content so it never gets old! In GH Live you get to play in front of a real crowd that reacts to how you perform! Cool, right?
Want to get a little taste of what the game is like? I love this Guitar Hero video featuring Lenny Kravitz and James Franco:
You know what else I love? The fact that you can get this game with TWO guitars so you’re ready to battle or jam right out of the box! The current playlist has some awesome tracks by some great bands including The Rolling Stones, The Black Keys, Queen, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fall Out Boy, Pearl Jam, Bruno Mars, Weezer, Iggy Pop, Alt-J, Jet, ZZ Top, Rage Against the Machine, Megadeth, The Strokes, Royal Blood, Ed Sheeran, Gary Clark Jr., and many more. The full list, which will be continually updated, can be found at https://www.guitarhero.com/game/artists.
