
We’re big cereal fans in our family. I’m not much of a morning person so I like fast and easy breakfasts. On the weekends the hubs makes us a nice big breakfast, but weekdays, it’s cereal. It takes me awhile to get moving in the morning so when I heard about Honey Bunches of Oats Morning Energy I couldn’t wait to try it. It comes in two flavors: Cinnamon Crunch and Chocolately Almond Crunch. Packed with whole grain, protein and fiber, these cereals were designed to jump-start your day and reduce mid-morning hunger. The delicious combination of whole grain flakes and granola clusters is really satisfying and even with the chocolate isn’t overly sweet. In fact, the Chocolatey Almond Crunch was my favorite flavor (no surprise there!). My kids actually preferred the Cinnamon Crunch variety.
The Chocolatey Almond Crunch had small pieces of chcolate and almonds sort of like a bonus while the Cinnamon Crunch variety seemed more plain, at least visually. It had a really great cinnamon flavor though and my kids totally dug it. Eating breakfast really does get my day off to a better start. I have more energy and am less grumpy.
