When I’m having a rough day I try to remember how lucky I am. I really do feel lucky and blessed. When my kids are driving me nuts I have to remind myself how lucky I am that I get to be a stay at home mom. I don’t miss out on anything in their lives. I wake up to their smiling faces and I put them to bed with kisses each night. Three. Gorgeous. Healthy. Children. That in itself is pretty lucky.
I jokingly had my husbands wedding ring inscribed with the word “LUCKY” to remind him how lucky he is to have me. In all seriousness though, we are lucky to have each other. We vowed to be teammates and always have each others back. And we’ve stayed true to that and I believe we always will. Strong marriages seem to be rare in this day in age so I feel particularly lucky to have found the one to spend my life with, that’s a good father and a good husband.
When a friend celebrated her 33rd birthday the other day, it reminded me that her and I have been friends for 28 years. 28 YEARS! That’s a solid friendship if you ask me. I’m very lucky to have close friends that I can talk to about anything and who are always supportive and willing to listen.
When I lived in Texas away from my family it really hit home how important family really is. Now I’m lucky enough to have our ENTIRE FAMILY both my husband’s and mine all within an hour or so drive. We have built in babysitters we trust, help on household projects we can’t handle ourselves, cousins for our kids to play with and family dinners that are crazy but that we love so much.
Kids, husband, friend and family. Yep, I’d say I’m one lucky girl! (Did I mention I won DIAMOND EARRINGS last month in a Facebook contest?)
