When I was a little girl waiting for Christmas morning I always hoped there’d be presents with something to DO. I was basically an only child and Christmas break was BORING. Santa always came through! Even though I have 3 children that keep each other entertained, I try to remember the types of things that I liked and actually played with. We’ve had the pleasure of reviewing some of these items in the past and we excited to pick out a couple more items to take a look at for the holidays.
imagine i CAN® – Roll & Bowl Anywhere™ • Ages 3+ • $20.00 — This is actually two games in one cute little set. The brightly colored tin with a handle for easy carrying comes packed with 1 wooden ball, 6 wooden pins, 8 marbles, a wooden marble tunnel, a wooden marble bridge plus a wooden cup. The marble game is an obstacle course in which you try to get the marbles over the bridge, through the tunnel and into the cup. The other game is 6 pin mini bowling. Both will keep kids entertained and engaged in creative play! Most of our house is hardwood floors offering a large play area for easy rolling. That being said, the balls roll easily on the carpet as well and is probably better suited to the younger crowd as it will slow it down a little. Things can get a little crazy on hard flooring!
imagine i CAN® – Tin Games • Ages 3+ • $6.00 Each — These little games I ADORE and highly recommend. We took two of them in our carry-on bags for a flight earlier this year and they were lifesavers! They were perfect for playing on airplane trays and kept the kids entertained for a good portion of the flight. Since then I’ve kept them in my purse where they continue to be lifesavers!Going out to dinner with a 3 year old, a 4 year old and a 6 year old can be kind of crazy sometimes. The older two are somewhat entertained with crayons but my youngest isn’t really interested at all. These games keep her busy until the food arrives. I was excited to add Shape Stack to our collection. This set comes with 6 shapes, a half sphere wobbling base and a die. Be the first player to stack the most shapes before it falls to win! Kids can use their imaginations to switch the rules up a little too!
This game is harder than it looks. I dropped the stack several times before I was finally able to snap the photo above! It’s a lot of fun though!
The little tins are adorable and keep all the pieces from getting lost. They’re the perfect size for stocking stuffers! You can buy them individually or in a pack of 12 (2 of each) or a pack of 6. Purchasing in packs gets you a discount!
