I had no idea that the average life-span of a mattress is about 7-10 years. Mattress Find let me know that a sign of needing a mattress is not sleeping well too! My husband and I sleep on a mattress that he had before he even started college. We’ve been married for almost 8 years, so this mattress is well over 10 years old. I had never noticed how hard the bed seemed either and it has even started squeaking. So, we have saved and have started looking for a mattress. Now what to choose…Tempur-Pedic, Select Comfort, Memory Foam. There are SO many choices and I had no idea where to start!
One of the first things I did was ask for referrals and see what others had to say. By far, the number one choice by others that I know is a Sleep Number. Sleep Number Mattresses have controlled settings on each side so you can determine how hard or soft you want your bed according to your comfort level. I didn’t want to just stop with a few referrals from friends though. I also like to do my research on the internet.
Mattress Find is a great site that has helped comparison shop between brands and types. It also helped me determine that I do, indeed, need a new mattress. It even had specifics on the Sleep Number Mattress Find so I could find out if this truly is the right type of bed we’d like to purchase.
Our goal is to purchase a mattress this weekend. Did you know Memorial Day weekend is the best weekend to buy a mattress? I know I didn’t! So, if you are like the rest of us and are looking into purchasing a mattress soon, check out Mattress Find. They don’t just compare name brands, they also have great tips on how to make your mattresses last too! Visit the site and find a mattress store near you.
