Tonight was family movie night. We watched our advanced copy of Iron Man 3 in our theater room. While this movie is rated PG-13, we let our kids watch it. My oldest is 6 and a big fan of Iron Man so he was super excited to see it. My girls on the other hand (ages 2&4) fell asleep in the middle of it. There was only one swear word that I can recall and while there was obviously some violence, there wasn’t anything really graphic.
I typically work on my laptop during movies and don’t really get into them but I really liked the past Iron Man movies so I took some time off to watch. I think the Iron Man movies are perfect for families because they have the right blend of action, romance and comedy. Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man is very humorous and his relationship with his girlfriend, Pepper, keeps us “chicks” interested in between the action scenes. The concept of Iron Man with his fancy suit and gadgets is interesting for almost anyone.
Synopsis:
“When Tony Stark/Iron Man finds his entire world reduced to rubble, he must use all his ingenuity to survive, destroy his enemy and somehow protect those he loves. But a soul-searching question haunts him: Does the man make the suit… or does the suit make the man?”
Iron Man 3 is definitely worth a watch! Own it on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital copy for around $30.
