We received the Duck nail clippers for our review. I know so many parents that are scared to clip their baby’s nails. I’ve been doing it for so long it’s old hat to me. Long before I even had children of my own, working as a nanny, I was the designated nail clipper so I’ve pretty much perfected my technique for my own three children. The Japonesque duck nail clippers are adorable. The clippers (a standard pair of baby clippers) are housed inside a plastic duck. Remove the beak to reveal the very tip of the clippers. Use the duck’s feather tuft to control them. A rough metal area on the bottom of the duck functions as a nail file.
To me, these clippers were a bit bulky and hard to control, probably because they just aren’t what I am used to. On the flip side though, the cuteness of the clippers makes the task appealing to baby/toddlers who might otherwise dislike this grooming necessity. Quacking the duck’s beak is fun and not as scary is as a shiny nail implement. One word of warning, the duck’s beak that is used as a cover is very small and a choking hazard so be sure to keep it out of reach of kids.
As a whole, the line looks fun and functional however we only received the nail clippers for review.
