School has been back in session for a few weeks now. Fall is finally rolling in. I have such a hard time school clothes shopping during the summer because it’s hot and I just want the kids to wear shorts and run and play in the sprinkler! Now that the weather is changing and we’ve shifted our focus from summer days to school days, I’m in a much better mindset for school clothes shopping. JCPenney has been one of my go-do department stores, not just because it’s right in town (thought that certainly helps a busy mom out!) but because they have a great selection of cute styles at great prices for my girls. Check out these collections:
Indigo Gypsy– focusing on Arizona, this sheet shows how girls can mix denim & boho, layer pieces, and add floral prints for that boho/festival girl feel
Black & White– focusing on total girl, this sheet shows how she can add pops of colors (and even some glitter) to classic black & white!
Yoga Girls– focusing on JCPenney’s Xersion brand this sheet shows you can go to gym class or the playground in style with bright colors and bold graphic tees
All of these different styles are great for school and let young girls express their individual style. I love that JCPenney carries some of my favorite brands like OshKosh. This is what my youngest daughter wore on her first day of school, courtesy of JCPenney:
OshKosh B’gosh® Stretch Denim Skirt
OshKosh B’gosh® 3/4-Sleeve Heart-Print Top
JCPenney also carries their own brands which I’ve found to be both fashionable AND affordable! My other daughter received few Arizona brand items that she loves to mix and match with the rest of her wardrobe:
Arizona Sequin & Striped Short-Sleeve Tee
These pieces work nicely together but McKinley has her own sense of style and likes to mix it up. Since our whether has still been pretty nice, she has been wearing the denim jacket with just about everything. I personally think it looks extra adorable over a dress! The soft faded and distressed look reminds me of the one I had as a little girl — fashion repeating itself! The grey striped sequin shirt is also available in other colors. I love grey myself but McKinley tends to lean towards a more colorful wardrobe which is why she loves the colored jeggings. These are also available in a few different colors but the Bayou Teal ones are the perfect compliment to her red hair. The jeggings are really soft and feature faux front pockets and a pretty jeweled button closure. The waist is adjustable on the inside, something I always look for in pants!
