Dresses typically aren’t my thing. I like to be comfortable. In the fall and winter that usually means jeans and a hoodie. I recently got some new riding boots from Naturalize that I love but wasn’t quite sure what to wear them with. They’re actually quite versatile. I’ve been wearing them with skinny jeans and sweaters but after chatting with a Chatalog stylist who offered me some free fashion advice, I really wanted to try them with a dress. The Jennifer Lopez Shirt Dress from Kohl’s was perfect! The roll tab sleeves offer two options: an adorable look rolled up and a more weather friendly style rolled down. I’ve worn the dress both ways (we’ve had some warm fall days here recently!) and I’ve found both looks to be not only stylish, but comfortable too. Paired with black leggings, I’m completely comfortable which says a lot from my dress-wearing experience!
I don’t pull it off as well as J-lo with with her bare legs and sandals but I like my fall spin on the dress which has a fashionable hi-lo hem. The dress comes in snakeskin print (shown) , red, black and aqua. It features two pockets, a 4 button front and a placket with nailhead accents. The dress is fully lined and comes with a coordinating waist tie sash.
This print is pretty sassy but not overly so with it’s subtle color. The solid colors are equally cute and a little more versatile in my option as far as accessorizing goes. Right now this dress is on sale at Kohl’s for only $35 (down from $70!). The coupon code I had expired today but do a quick search and you’ll probably be able to find at least 15% off to bring your total down a little.
