You could visit Ray’s Boathouse for the ambiance alone but that would just be silly because the food there is just as spectacular as it’s view of the Olympic Mountains over Puget Sound. With an award-winning wine list featuring local vineyards and fresh seafood prepared by culinary professionals, Ray’s Boathouse will not disappoint.
I, myself, am not a particular fan of seafood so I’ve got my eye on the Southern Fried Stokesberry Sustainable Farm Chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans, and roasted chicken gravy but since Ray’s is known for it’s seafood I’d probably try the Alaskan Red King Crab Legs. Feeling fancy? Try the Chocolate & Port Sampler (1 oz. each of 1997 Quinta do Crasto Vintage, 2004 Quinta Rosa LBV and Dow’s 10 Year Tawny with Theo Specialty Chocolates or the Scotch & Port Sampler (1/2 oz. each of Macallan’s Cask Strength, 15 year Fine Oak, and 18 year single malt scotches with Theo Specialty Chocolates) As for me, I’d like to order off of the kids menu because the Kids Sunset Cooler sounds to die for: A yummy mix of orange and pineapple juices with strawberry puree and coconut cream. Unfortunately, the kids menu is for ages 11 & under. Luckily, I’ve got three kids that fit the bill- ha!
