To me, mayo has always been a necessary evil. I know it’s loaded with fat but there really isn’t an alternative when it comes to most recipes that call for it, like potato salad for example. Normally I look for ones made with olive oil for a healthier version but recently discovered a new brand that has an amazing approach to creating foods as healthy as possible. The brand is called JUST and their first product just happened to be mayo.
JUST’s mission is to make healthier, sustainable foods that are also affordable and delicious. They’ve put a ton of research into this and are coming up with great products to make it easier for people to eat well.
JUST’s mayo is made with a yellow split pea from Canada. It is Non-GMO Project Verified, Egg-free, Gluten-free, Kosher, and contains no artificial flavors. It has only 60 calories per serving and ZERO saturated fat. Chipotle Mayo and Garlic Mayo are also available and taste AMAZING! Seriously, they really step up the flavor on a sandwich and can be used for other things as well.
As I was sampling these products for my review, a friend of mine posted about JUST Mayo on Facebook. She was stocking up on the larger size of the original mayo that she found at Walmart. Apparently she’s been using this brand for awhile and LOVES it. JUST products can be found in every Whole Foods stores and almost every Walmart across the country.
JUST also makes salad dressing and they’ve quickly become household favorites! It’s hard to choose from Ranch, Ceaser, Thousand Island, and Chipotle Ranch so we just use them all — as dipping sauces, on burger, salads and more! The Thousand flavor is especially great on burgers and I love the Chipotle Ranch on taco salad. I am so glad we got to try these great products! Another new product we recently tried is Spindrift. Known for their sparkling water with real fruit, Spindrift has added Half & Half which is half real brewed black tea and half classic fresh squeezed lemon. It’s a refreshing twist with the bubbles! It’s unsweetened so I personally like to sweeten it a little but the flavor is amazing! I can’t wait to try all of the other flavors! Spindrift is a great alternative to sugary carbonated beverages.
