If you like to clean, you’re probably in the minority. For me, having an awesome tool or new product helps motivate me. Right now I also have another motivator. Our house is for sale which means I have to keep it super clean and tidy so prospective buyers will be wowed. Luckily I have a new vacuum cleaner to help get the job done.Unfortunately all vacuum cleaners are not created equal. Some are better for carpet while some are designed for bare floors. Some vacuums are geared towards those with pets. The Kenmore Intuition Vacuum Cleaner can handle all three! The foot-activated height adjustment allows you to set the vacuum at the perfect height to clean your floors while the brush roll can be turned off for use on bare floors. A special Pet HandiMate attachment was designed specifically to clean pet hair from furniture, stairs and other surfaces. Other attachments include combo dust/upholstery tool, crevice tool and telescoping wand which makes it easier to clean hard to reach places. The Kenmore Intuition features a powerful 3D Inducer Motor that offers 20% more air power than previous models. A Dual chamber bag system offers sustained cleaning power— even as the bag fills with dirt you won’t lose suction. Speaking of dirt, this vacuum has an electronic dirt sensor that alerts you to dirt you can’t even see! A HEPA filtration system captures even the smallest particles to keep indoor air clean. You won’t have to worry about replacing belts either because there are none! The Kenmore Intuition Vacuum cleaner has everything you could want in an upright vacuum cleaner to keep your home, not just your floors, clean. It retails for around $270.
I really love how versatile this vacuum is. Normally I use a canister vacuum but it can be kind of awkward dragging it around from room to room. An upright vacuum is a lot easier to maneuver. The upstairs of our house is bamboo hardwoods and tile but downstairs is carpeted. I usually don’t vacuum upstairs at all — I sweep and mop. With this vacuum it really cuts down on the sweeping which saves a lot of time! I still sweep the kitchen but the vacuum is great for the rest of the house!
Since our home is for sale we have to have a more critical eye. I’ve been noticing stray cobwebs hidden in corners. Those are easily taken care of with the telescoping wand which is also useful with different attachments for a variety of things from cleaning the couch to the car (the crevice tool is awesome!) The thing I love the most about this vacuum is the fact that it’s belt-less. We had so many problems with our old vacuum and had to replace the belt over and over. Now I won’t have to worry about the smell of a rubber belt burning out or breaking in middle of a quick vacuum job. It always seemed to break when I needed it most — before big birthday parties or important company leaving me scrambling to cover up the smell!
The Kenmore Intuition is easy to use and makes switching from carpet to bare floors a cinch. While I’m pretty impressed with almost every aspect of this vacuum, I do wish it was bagless. Probably because I’m lazy and cheap, but I just hate having to buy and change bags. It’s only a minor inconvenience though and the benefits outweigh this tiny “flaw”.
