The kickTrak smart kick-counter is a safe, non-invasive device, which counts a fetus’ kicks and movements that are recognized as a method to monitor an unborn baby’s health. Significant changes in the movement pattern may be a warning the baby is distressed. By using kickTrak women can count and time movements, store and recall recent kick count sessions and track the progress of their pregnancy. Any big changes allow you to tell your Dr. that there are unexpected changes.
Designed by an obstetrician, kickTrak simplifies kick counting by recording and storing the time it takes for the baby to complete 10 movements. kickTrak also stores the last 10 recording sessions so trends can be easily and conveniently monitored.
I wish I would have had one of these with my other two pregnancies. My daughter had the cord tightly wrapped around her neck. The cord was so small they could not get her out without cutting the cord before her head was out. She was not breathing and it could have ended very badly. If I had kickTrak, I may have been able to prevent anything that could have gone wrong.
A much ignored fact is that in the US alone there are approximately 26,000 stillbirths a year. If you compare this to SIDS statistics, stillbirths outnumber deaths from SIDS 10:1. How scary is this statement?
I have started feeling this baby move slightly, but definitely not enough for regular movement yet. I am definitely very excited to start using this in a few weeks! I am not the best with having to stay committed with writing things down (maybe having 2 kids has made me distracted), so this makes it so easy to just use one small machine. I was also induced with both of my children, so I was not able to time my contractions. I am SO excited to be able to use this machine to time my contractions in the future! I am sure you will hear about kickTrak again throughout my pregnancy journey, so stay tuned.
