My first daughter was born with a full head of red hair. From time to time I’d put a headband on her but they’d always just fall right out and clips would never stay in. We lost so many clips and bows that now I just put her hair in pig tails with colored rubber bands everyday. I just had my second daughter and for some reason feel like getting all girlie-girlie with her. I want to dress her up in pink, put cute hats on her and make her look like a doll (that’s not hard!) Ladybugs and Lullabies sent us two of their clips for our review. I was skeptical that they would stay in her superfine baby-fresh hair. She wasn’t born with quite as much hair as McKinley and it isn’t red but she isn’t bald! Every where we go, despite the pink blanket covering her, people ask if she’s a boy. It doesn’t help that her name is Parker. Perhaps these super cute hair clips from Ladybugs an Lullabies will help us out! They stay in her hair AMAZINGLY well. It’s like magic! I never thought they would work but one of the clips has this no-slip material on the inside so that it the clip almost sticks to her hair. It grips it and stays put. The other clip is a tiny little snap clip and it works just as well!
Since Parker doesn’t have much hair up front you can’t see the clip well in the first pic but since the weather is cold and she wears hats a lot I thought of clipping it to the fold of her hat. I think it looks adorable and turned a plain cotton hat into something much more stylish as you can see in the second picture. Both the alligator clip and the snap clip worked for this. Available in pink or oatmeal, snap clip or alligator clip, the burberry-inspired flower clip is finished with a Swarovski crystal center and sells for $5.49 and $5.99 respectively.
It’s no surprise that celebs such as Matt Damon and Marcia Cross are snatching these up for their children- I know I’m hooked! Check out everything Ladybugs and Lullabies has to offer!
