Laser Pegs are a unique toy construction set that lights up using three AA batteries or an AC/DC power adapter. Each piece feeds the next piece a low voltage current, lighting it up as you construct your masterpiece. A bright, high quality LED light is incased in each clear ABS plastic building piece. The lights are designed to run about 100,000 hours, giving this toy a very long life expectancy. Use the building models or your own imagination to create one-of-a-kind lighted works of art. Ten different shapes of Laser Pegs are available in kits or accessories packs. The latest kit, The World of Bugs allows users to build and learn about a variety of bugs. It comes with 84 Laser Pegs including four new shapes. 18 different models can be built around the bug theme and the included manual features facts about each bug created. Laser Pegs are recommended for boys and girls ages 7 and up. Laser Peg sets start at around $20.
My 4 year old thought Laser Pegs were really cool. That’s no surprise to me, because they are! I love that you can use batteries in the base to make it “wireless” or use an AC adapter when it’s convenient. These will be really fun to take on our camping trip. Jackson can play with them in the dark in the tent to wind down before bed. We’ve put the pieces into a bag so we don’t lose them, making it easy to take on-the-go. If you are looking for a really fun and unique toy, this is it!
