Looking to Start a Business? #franchising #ad

My husband and I have tossed around the idea of starting a business. My husband is interested in the flexibility of his schedule to make more time for the things that are important to him and the potential to have a little more freedom. A recent survey of 1000 people with a net worth of over $200,000 shows that we aren’t alone — 31% of the people looking to start a business are planning on going into business with a spouse or domestic partner (roughly 10%!). Here are a few more statistics from the survey:

25% of those surveyed were females looking to start their own businesses
56% looking to start a business are planning on having a business partner.
30% of respondents looking to start a business are going into business with a friend and 26% are going into business with a colleague.

Personally, I can’t see myself running a business on my own. I like having someone to bounce ideas off of and to make decisions with. Whether it’s my husband or a friend/colleague I prefer having a back up for support. What about you? Would you go in business independently or would you bring on a partner?
