To me, running is boring yet it can really feel good to get out in the fresh air and get the ol heart rate up. To make it a little morebearable, music is a must. Mark Blum, an Air Force veteran and former physical trainer created an app called Marx Runner that turns running into a challenge set to music. Upbeat tracks can be created with lyrics that inspire you to keep at it. Messages like “Push right through it” “we movin’, we groovin’ no time for losin'” with a hip hop vibe are repeated and set to a beat. You can select the beats per minute as well as adjust the sound by adding or removing drums, instruments, sfx and vocals. You can even mute all and still use the tracking which measures your average speed, distance you ran, time elapsed and your location. All of this information can easily be shared to Facebook and Twitter with the touch of a button. This certainly makes running more fun and the inspiring messages along with the uptempo beats will have you pounding the ground farther and longer than you thought possible. You can find Marx Runner on iTunes for $0.99.
