School let out a few weeks ago and I’ve been trying to keep my kids busy. My oldest is five and loves little projects he can do on his own. He had so much fun with the Metamorphic Toys mail box. Metamorphic toys aims to encourage and inspire creativity and imagination while reinforcing environmental responsibility. All of their are 100% recyclable, safe for kids, kind to the environment and made in the US.
Since we get a lot of fun packages through the mail out our house my kids are particularly fond of mail boxes. They like to play “package man”. When Jackson found out he got to design his very own mailbox he was really excited. First I had him color the glue-less stickers he wanted to use — there were a lot of them but he chose dolphins and other sea animals. The mailbox comes in three pieces and assembly is as simple as pie….but first we had to paint it. Since it was a nice day I put a few colors of paint on a paper plate and had him take the project outside:
After the paint was dry I helped him assemble the mailbox (basically just sticking the pieces together in the right slots). Then he glued his stickers on. Since then him and his sister have been enjoying stuffing the mailbox full of different toys. I was a little disappointed that the mailbox didn’t have a flag but the kids didn’t even noticed. I’m sure it wouldn’t be difficult to make one and attach it with a brad.
