I know it’s only September but as soon as it started raining, I started thinking about the holidays and how they seem to sneak up every year. I decided it’s not to early to start buying gifts. Every year I try not to go overboard with gifts for the kids and really keep it to stuff they actually need or will use. For my oldest daughter, I can purchase anything craft related with confidence knowing that it will be put to use! When I saw this Modeling Clay with 3 Basic Shapes book, I knew it would be the perfect gift for her, especially when paired with a few colors of clay!
This book is filled with fun projects that can be made by using three basic shapes: ball, worm, and teardrop. The techniques used to make them are easy for children to master. Kids will be delighted at the results and how easy it is to make over 40 different animals.
The step-by-step guide is easy to follow with it’s clear directions and numbered steps accompanied by photos of the process. Projects include pandas, kittens, puppies, raccoons, turtles, fish, owls, rhinos, snails and more! There are enough projects to keep kids busy for quite awhile! The book is for ages 4-8 but I think the age range is suitable for older kids as well. Honestly, I can’t wait to do some of these projects with my daughter. They look super fun and not overwhelming at all. I’m already trying to decide what finishing touches we’ll do — turning them into zipper pulls or magnets would be a cool way to get some use out of the final product.
