My 6 year old started playing flag football this year. He really enjoyed it and wants to move on to tackle football next year. One of the concerns I have as his mother or course is for his safety. During his first week of flag football I had to remind him a million times to keep his mouth guard in. I can understand why it was hard for him. It was bulky and uncomfortable and he wasn’t used to having to wear it. We tried to find another mouthguard that might be more comfortable for him but didn’t have much luck. By the end of the season Jackson was a lot better about wearing his mouthguard but he had chewed on it and it no longer fit like it should.
I recently discovered MoGo Sport Flavored mouth guards and was instantly intrigued. The company was founded by athletes who created an FDA approved BPA free flavor technology that allows flavor to be added plastic. And the world’s first flavored mouth guard was born. Available in blue raspberry, bubble gum, fruit punch, lemon, orange, mint and limited edition Winter Frost, MoGo Sport mouth guards are more pleasant to wear than standard mouth guards.
Since the flavor is embedded into the plastic, not coated or sprayed on, it’s guaranteed for long-term use. I was worried the the flavoring would be saliva inducing but it’s fresh and mild and helps prevent dry mouth without over-producing saliva. The mouth guard came with some sample strips so I was able to test out the flavors. They were all surprisingly good! Lemon seemed slightly more flavorful than the other flavors. Bubble gum was good too! My son chose orange which also tasted great. Now that we got the flavor part covered and a great incentive to actually wear the mouth guard, let’s talk about protection.
MoGo Sport mouth guards are available in 2 sizes, Youth (ages 11 and under) or Adult (ages 12 and up). They are custom fit with a boiling procedure at home for comfort and to enhance performance and protection. The breathable design comes with quick release tether and a $10,000 dental warranty. MoGo Sport mouth guards are really reasonably priced at only $11.99! Now I’m wondering if they’d work as a night guard too, because I need one of those!
