I’ve been waiting for fall — craving warm fuzzy sweaters and pretty scarves. Something was missing from my fall wardrobe though. A nice pair of boots. Last year I lived in my chocolate brown Uggs knock offs but this year I wanted a classier, more stylish look. And so the hunt began. It wasn’t long before I determined that I wanted a pair of riding boots. I loved the knee-high look and figured they’d be pretty versatile. When I discovered Naturalizer’s it was almost like I could hear angels singing. They were that perfect! The “Oxford Brown” leather, a pebbled dark chocolate color, was exactly what I was looking for. The brushed gold twin buckle straps are subtle and the 1″ inch heels keep these boots comfortable (heels and my back are not friends).
With these boots you won’t have to worry about proper fit because they are available in different widths from size 4 all the way up to size 12. They also have a wide shaft option which is great because the original has a fairly narrow shaft. I have slender legs and can get about two finger widths in. There is an elastic panel in the back to help accommodate varying leg sizes. The top buckle is decorative but also has a small piece of elastic on the strap for some flexibility.
The boots are easy to put on and the zipper seems pretty sturdy. They have a smooth linking and cushioned insoles. I’m not used to comfort and style going hand-in-hand so I was quite pleased with the comfort level these riding boots offer. The only negative I can find is that they’ve given me the urge to go shopping for new things to wear them with! They go great with skinny jeans, leggings and even dresses!
For me, comfort comes first and foremost but being able to actually have a pair of stylish shoes that are comfortable is the icing on the cake. Naturalizer shoes are designed for comfort and they take a lot of pride in being stylish as well! Their fall offerings are on-trend and designed with details and materials that women will love for work and every day wear. Many of the styles are under $100 too! Check out the full selection at .
Need style advice? Try Chatalog, a really cool (and free!) service where you can chat online with a stylist that can give you fashion advice, suggest pieces, answer questions and more. I’ve been chatting with Robin and she’s given me lots of great advice while still keeping my personal tastes in mind. She recommended the pretty blue “Airport Greeting Jacket” from ModCloth pictured above and tipped me off to the shirt dress. The really cool thing about Chatalog is that you can add photos of items from ANY webpage so you can discuss very specific looks and put together outfits! Give it a try!
