We’ve had our Ninja Creami for almost two years now but thanks to a less hectic summer schedule and TikTok we are finally starting to discover all the brilliant, healthy ice cream-like desserts we can consume on the daily, guilt-free!
If you aren’t familiar with a Ninja Creami, it’s a must-have kitchen gadget that turns things into creamy, soft serve-like, ice cream delights. Until this summer we had only used it with pineapple. If you like dole whip, you’d love this “recipe”. One can of pineapple tidbits or chunks. That’s it. Freeze it for 24 hours then process it in the Creami machine. It’s like magic. It somehow turns pineapple into a creamy frozen dessert. Sometimes we drizzle coconut syrup over the top and sometimes I dream of adding some rum and taking it poolside though I’ve yet to follow through with that one!
This summer we’ve expanded on our recipes using suggestions from TikTok including using sugar-free pudding mixes, different types of fruit etc. We’ve discovered that one of our favorite bases is Chocolate Fairlife milk (about 2 cups) mixed with 2T sugar-free instant pudding mix. Mix the two together and freeze for 24 hours then process in the Creami machine.
The reason we love this base aside from the fact that it tastes great, is that it’s fairly low in calories, high in protein and can be made into many different flavors by adding mix-ins. We’ve used chocolate mint cookies, S’mores trail mix, peanut butter, coconut and more depending on what we are craving. Most recently we used Naked Brownies to take the chocolate flavor and amount of protein up a notch.
We’ve tried many different products from Naked Nutrition and have been pleased with them all but this one takes the cake! This high protein brownie mix is super easy to use, satisfies any chocolate cravings and offers 15 grams of protein per serving!
The mix comes with a measuring scoop. I used 5 scoops and 3/4 cup water, mixed until blended and poured into an oiled 8×8 pan. I added a handful of mini chocolate chips but in the end, I don’t think they were needed. Into the 350 degree oven they went and 20 minutes later we had a perfect pan of brownies!
These brownies are more cake-like than dense and chewy and the chocolate flavor is great! These make a great snack on their own at 230 calories, 9g of sugar and 15g of protein. We, of course, had to try them as a mix-in and it was a success!
Naked Brownie is a high-protein, low-sugar brownie baking mix that contains premium whey concentrate protein, coconut sugar, sea salt, and other natural ingredients. This mix was designed to create decadent, guilt-free brownies that’ll help you increase protein intake for more energy, stable appetite, and better post-workout recovery. You can jazz them up however you’d like or use them as an ingredient in something else like we did but honestly, they’re perfect simply as a brownie.
