Meet Kali & Josh. This adorable couple recently became LuLaRoe Consultants and they make a great team! Before I get too far ahead of myself let me also introduce you to LuLaRoe if you aren’t already familiar. If you’re a Facebook user you’ve probably at least heard of LuLaRoe and their amazing “buttery soft” leggings. LuLaRoe’s motto is “Simply Comfortable”. While certainly comfortable and easy to wear, I think LuLaRoe is so much more than Simply Comfortable. With sizes from XXS to 3XL there’s something for everyone to look and feel great in! In fact, that is part of the brand’s vision — every woman should wear clothing they love, feel comfortable in and that makes them feel confident!
The other day I saw a discussion in one of my blogger facebook groups. They didn’t understand the craze and thought the leggings were ugly. If loud colors and bold prints aren’t your thing I promise you, you can still find something you love from LuLaRoe. Personally I love how other women rock the pattern mixing and fun prints — I think it looks great on women of all shapes and sizes! For myself, I usually prefer stripes and solids and stick to my favorite colors, black and grey being pretty high on that list! Call me boring, I’m trying to branch out though and with SO MANY options, LuLaRoe makes it easy and fun to experiment with your personal style. LuLaRoe isn’t just leggings!
You can’t get LuLaRoe in a brick & mortar store and you can’t order online in the traditional way. Shopping LuLaRoe is much more fun than that! LuLaRoe reps like Josh & Kali offer pop-up boutiques either in a host’s home or online in a Facebook group. There are currently around 25 styles to choose from — skirts, dresses, shirts, kimonos and leggings. Here’s where it gets fun though. There are TONS of prints and solids to choose from and since only a limited number are made per print, there’s always something new and unique for your shopping pleasure!
So, back to Kali and Josh. They typically open up their VIP Online Sale on their Facebook page starting at 12 noon EST on Saturdays and it’s open for shopping for 24 hours. They also do live sales and multi-consultants throughout the week. Be sure to join their VIP Facebook group because they are always up to something fun with lots of giveaways. The other day they went to an Orioles game and had 4 pairs of leggings with them to giveaway to any members that happened to be there and found where they were sitting! You don’t have to be local to them though — LuLaRoe shopping can be done right in the comfort of your own home and normally the giveaways are super easy and right on the Facebook page.
Kali and Josh let me pick two outfits. I was super excited because I had been wanting to try a Randy Tee and a Maxi skirt and I found both in colors/patterns that I really liked. They helped me find the matching pieces — an Irma shirt for the Maxi skirt and a pair of black leggings to go with the Randy. They are both super helpful and will go out of their way to answer questions and help you with anything you need. They sent me photos of the outfits put together so I could see how they looked. It can be hard sometimes to see which colors go together but they are more than happy to help if you ask!
One thing I really love about LulaRoe is how versatile it is. I absolutely LOVE the Irma shirt just as it is with it’s mid sleeve and longer cut in the back. It’s comfortable and flattering at the same time. You can’t get an easier or more comfortable outfit than leggings and an Irma. Here I paired it with some riding boots which will be great for fall.
I also love it with converse for a casual sporty style. Tie a knot at the side for a more fitted look. You can also wear this top off of one shoulder. Just tuck the sleeve inside the shirt! If you are feeling bold, wear it strapless. You might want to size up one size for this look. Tie the sleeves together in the front and viola! It’s not the best look for me personally but I wanted to show you the different ways it can be worn. For Irma it is recommended that you size down 2 sizes from your normal size as it runs rather large. The one I’m wearing is an XXS. Josh and Kali can help you with sizing too. If you aren’t sure what size to order, just ask!
One other way to wear this shirt is to gather some fabric at the inside seam and use a rubberband to wrap around it. This makes a really neat gathered or rouched look and gives it a bit more definition. You can do this on one side or both sides or you can even do it on the back. Have some fun and experiment!
Maxi skirts are perfect for summer. I love the bright, pretty floral pattern on this one. In this picture I’m wearing it with a Classic Tee that I already had. I went with a size Medium Maxi even though I’m usually a small because I loved the print and thought it would work. It did work worn this way but the waist was a little too loose for the tucked in look that Kali showed me with the Irma.
Since this skirt has a fold over waist band, you can pull the whole thing up and wear it as a strapless dress — super cute right? I’m really small on top and the skirt was already a bit big so I just banded it together int he back for this picture. I’m sure I could have taken the time to try a LuLa trick that would look better in the back but strapless isn’t really in my comfort zone.
The Maxi a dress and skirt in one! I’ve seen some people tie a knot in one side or both at the bottom of the skirt for some added flair or to bring it up a bit if you are on the shorter side. No matter how you wear it, Maxi is a great choice.
Once again I went against my better judgement and got the Randy in XS because I couldn’t resist the color and stripe pattern of it! The cool thing with LuLaRoe is that you can usually wear different sizes depending on the look you are going for. This one is obviously more fitted and I still really like it. Next time I will order a size up though for a looser look.
The black leggings are AWESOME. SO.SUPER.SOFT. Plus, black leggings are a staple! Now I can get any color or pattern of top that I want and I’ll have something to wear it with! LuLaRoe is known for their “buttah” leggings because they are as soft as butter. They come in two sizes — One Size which fits 0-12 in most cases and Tall & Curvy for taller, curvier gals.
LuLaRoe also has a kids line, dresses, skirts, different styles of tops, kimonos and some mens shirts. Consultants decide what styles to carry but the colors and prints they receive are random. How fun is that!?
