If you’ve had a baby recently you may start noticing your hair falling out in handfuls. Don’t worry- you aren’t going bald! During pregnancy higher levels of estrogen keep your hair from shedding at the normal rate. Postpartum, when your hormone levels start to return to normal, you will shed that extra hair. It can be alarming but should be back to normal 6-12 months after giving birth.
With all of that hair shedding, your drains will likely become clogged. Try unclogging them with this “green” method:
Pour one cup baking soda into the drain. Follow with one cup HOT white vinegar. Let sit for several minutes then run hot water from the tap until the clog clears or repeat if necessary.
