Our master bathroom has a private deck with a small door that leads out to it. When we bought the house the door was covered with sheer curtain that was attached at the top and bottom of the door. Unfortunately I discovered that the window behind the curtain was getting moldy from the moisture in the bathroom. Not only that, but the curtain itself was starting to get mold on it. Yuck! I new I needed to do something but wasn’t sure what since I didn’t want to just replace the curtain and have it happen again. Then I came across Privacy Film at WallPops. I had considered using something like contact paper but really didn’t want to put adhesive on the window. Privacy Film is the perfect alternative because it’s vinyl and clings to the window without glue or any other adhesive.
To apply it, all you have to do is clean your window then mist it with water. Peel the backing off of the vinyl and smooth it onto the window. You can cut it to fit exactly. I used an Exacto knife at the bottom and it was easy to just cut along the edge where the door frame meets the window. For the edges though I just measured and used a cutting mat to cut it before I applied it. Super simple! And if I ever change my mind about the look of the window, it peels right off without leaving behind any signs it was ever there. Goodbye mold, hello attractive window!
Privacy film block s99% of UV-B Rays and 96% of UB-A Rays. It filters light and reduces glare. It’s perfect for windows, shower doors, cabinets and more! Privacy Film is available in different designs and textures. The one I chose is called Glacier and it closely matches the glass of our shower door. I was really impressed with how easy this stuff was to work with. It literally took just minutes to complete this project. I liked it so much I already have plans to do another window!
