Master Lock makes quality products and is brand I have come to trust. I received one of each of the above free of charge for this review. Both products are handy to have around. Since I already keep things like passports, social security cards etc. in a fire proof box I decided to use the security chest as my “garage sale box”. I tossed in my pricing stickers, some loose change and a sharpie marker. I like that I can lock it to keep my garage sale earnings somewhat secure while the sale is still in progress.
The File Box is perfect for storing extra special papers. My previous file box had mortgage papers mixed in with user manuals, receipts, bank statements and everything in between. Now I can keep the most important papers neatly stored and secure inside the Master Lock File box separate from the less important stuff. This box is also lockable.
