Sandgrens is a brand of shoes made in Sweden since 1846. They specialize in clogs — footwear using the finest leather and wooden bases with metal hardware. They conform to the highest standards of fashion and comfort by using time-honored techniques to create timeless and unique custom made wood clogs.
I tested about a pair of “Caspian” clogs. This style features a medium heel with a Swedish Alder wood base and traditional leather fastened with staples. The adjustable buckle strap offers a custom fit making them easy to wear. I was amazed at how comfortable these shoes are. Normally heels hurt my feet after a little bit but aside from the added height, I barely noticed I was even wearing heels! Wood is amazingly comfortable!
The Caspian style is available in several colors but this fun purple color is perfect for Spring and offers a bright pop of color to my normally bland colored wardrobe. I tend to lean towards black and grey but those provide the perfect backdrop for fun shoes like these and jewelry that adds a big statement to my look. These clogs look cute with skirts and dresses as well as shorts, capris and jeans so they’re really versatile!
While these do have a peep toe, it’s a very small area and you can’t really see much of my toes. If I could change anything about these awesome shoes I would remove a strap or two of leather near the toe area so I could show off my toe nail polish. I can’t wait to incorporate these into my spring wardrobe for a fun, fresh look while staying comfortable!
This style is available in US sizes 4.5-10. It runs a little narrow so if you have wide feet, it is recommended that you order a half size up.
