On most days I’m so busy taking care of kids, the house and working that I forget to feed myself until dinner time when I make a meal for the family. When I do eat, it’s usually junk — something fast and easy.Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating offered me the opportunity to try 4 days worth of healthy meals, perfect for busy moms like me.
While I don’t really need to lose weight or require a special diet, I do need to eat healthier and on a more regular schedule. I was excited to give this service a try. The meals were delivered to my doorstep in a cooler and I transferred the individually packaged breakfast, lunch and dinners for the next few days to my fridge.

Pretty great right? Healthy meals delivered to your door! You don’t have to shop or cook! Best of all, no meal planning! The following is a sample of the 1200 calorie plan which includes 12 meals for $89. Shipping was a steep $68.58 bringing the total to $157.58. Pick-up options are available which makes the price much more reasonable.
Day 1:
- Cheese Egg Casserole with Cinnamon Raisin Toast & Fruit Juice
- Spinach Artichoke Dip, Veggies, Hummus and Chips
- Potato Gnocchi, Veggies, Almond and Dried Pineapple
This was probably my favorite day of meals. The Egg Casserole was really cheesy and delicious. The fruit juice was almost like a fresh smoothie with bits of fruit in it and I like cinnamon bread too!
I’ve only had Gnocchi in soup but I liked this dinner. I love how a lot of the meals include something sweet, like the dried pineapple with this dinner.
I love Spinach Artichoke Dip and Hummus. The dip was a healthier version than I’m used to but it was still good. This lunch came with multi-grain chips but the veggies were also great for dipping.
Day 2:
- Cherry Oatmeal
- Soup & Sandwich
- Chicken Swiss Casserole
This was my least favorite breakfast. It was really bland. The lunch was better with tuna on a sort of flat bread sandwich with vegetable soup and carrots. Dinner was pretty good too with corn on the cob and applesauce.
Day 3:
- Wholegrain Cereal
- Chicken Salad Sandwich
- Lasagna Roll-ups
This was another good day. I liked the cereal with fruit in it but I was a little disappointed it was just cereal. For lunch, a chicken salad sandwich with an apple. It looks small but these meals are actually surprisingly filling! For dinner, I was happy to see TWO lasagna Roll-ups because I love lasagna. They were good! I didn’t eat the brussels sprouts but the pear was a nice touch to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Day 4:
- Strawberry Bread
- Veggie Fajita
- Cod Sandwich
Simple strawberry bread and an orange for breakfast followed by a yummy fajita for lunch complete with cheese, beans, peppers and guacamole on a whole wheat tortilla. I don’t care for seafood so I passed on dinner.
I was really worried I wouldn’t like a lot of the food but it turns out, even if I had never tried some of the stuff before, it was all surprisingly good! Apparently I like vegetables a lot more than I thought too! I ate way more vegetables than I normally do on this meal plan and I’m hoping to stick with it.
Everything was packaged really well and it made it easy to just grab something out of the fridge and heat it up if needed. These meals would also be easy to take with you on-the-go as long as you had somewhere to heat them up (if needed).
I’m not sure if the meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are mix and match or if they are supposed to be eaten in a certain order. I just went with which ever one sounded good that day.
I love that these meals are freshly prepared, don’t contain harmful additives, high fructose corn syrup or trans fat. I love that every meal is complete with fresh fruits, veggies and salads. I love that I never had to think about what I was going to eat. I feel like this program was designed just for people like me! Overall, I’m very impressed with the service. I was very skeptical going in but very pleased with my experience with Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating. You can check them out for yourself at www.seattlesutton.com. Service is available nationwide. There are no contracts to sign — just try them and order as you wish! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
