Speakaboos is an online children’s website featuring favorite characters and story book classics read by celebrities. Each story is accompanied by educational games, activities and contests that can be played alongside their parents. As a resource for parents there are also story guides, and lesson plans based on national education standards.
A new feature coming soon to Speakaboos is “Record Your Own Story”. This would be something neat for grandparents to do for their grandchildren or for a parent when they can’t be there for the nightly bedtime story. Kids can also practice their reading and have fun recording their own story or singing a song!
You can watch any of the stories read aloud by a celebrity, complete with words on the screen, for free. Some of the current celebrities include Nick Cannon, Tim Daly, James Eckhouse. Clay Aiken and Bob Saget will be recording as well.
