My teenage son got lucky and didn’t get my bad skin. Still, I believe it’s important to teach all of my kids the importance of good skin care, not just my girls! I think the key, for boys especially, is to keep it simple. I recently had the chance to try Stryke Club, a new skincare line designed for boys.
Stryke Club is a pediatric dermatologist formulated skin care line for boys to help them achieve clean, clear, healthy skin without a lot of extra effort. The brand was founded by four women with 11 children combined. They noticed that most skin care products are made for girls. Boys have skin too! So they set out to create products to help guys feel confident with simple yet effective grooming products.

Since I couldn’t count on my 14 year old son to give me more than a two word review on these products, I tried them out myself. I’ve always struggled with acne and am very particular about the products I use. I liked that these were well formulated, fragrance free and easy to use.
Face First is a gentle and effective face cleanser. It made my face feel fresh and clean without stripping it dry. It eliminates bacteria that can contribute to breakouts. Calm Down is a moisturizer that also helps clear up breakouts. It’s lightweight and not greasy at all. I really wanted to put this product to the test since I hadn’t used a formula like this before. I have been getting acne on my shoulders so I’ve been using this product only on my left shoulder. It’s almost completely cleared up now while my right shoulder still has some blemishes. Now that I can tell that it really works, I can start using it on both shoulders and say goodbye to acne and hello to tank tops without embarrassment!
