June
The start of the summer season brings deals on a few very important, very pricey items that fall to shocking lows during this month only. The first one you might be surprised about is dishware. While each person only has the opportunity to be given dishware as a wedding present a few times in life, everyone has the opportunity to give it. June is the biggest month for weddings, which means huge deals on dishware for just about everyone.
Another way to save money in June is by buying or renewing a gym membership. This is the time of year that people are least likely to start a health or fitness program, due in combination to the summer heat, lack of resolution regarding New Years’ resolutions, and the surge in outdoor sports. You could manage to lock in a great rate for the next year if you buy at this time.
Finally, check out tool sales around Father’s Day. You’ll find some fantastic deals, even if you don’t have any kids running around.
July
New furniture lines are frequently introduced during August. That means that July is a fantastic time to lock in some great deals on furniture. Stores want to clear out their old merchandise before the new stuff comes in, so let it take up space as a stylish installation in your house instead of a warehouse somewhere.
This is also a few months after the big wave of releases for video games, so if you’re a hardcore gamer, July is a great time to buy. If you can stomach waiting a few months after all of your friends have played the games, you can save a bundle.
August
August is Back to School season. All the best August deals have to do with back to school. If you have any need of office supplies (or school supplies, obviously), this is a great time to stock up for the coming year. Similarly, any clothing for kids and young adults is also going to be on sale, as are items that are commonly used for setting up dorm rooms—office furniture, cheap storage bins, etcetera are all going fast.
Finally, this is a great time to get a new swimsuit. The end of the swimming season means stores want to get rid of suits to make way for coats, so take advantage of those deals while they last.
