Are you ready for the Super Bowl? Football is HUGE at our house. My hubby LIVES for football so of course we are having a party. Swanson has their very own which is perfect for inviting the gang over to watch the big game. The have also provided some quick and easy recipes for a “Tailgating Menu”
The Quick and Easy Tailgating Menu

Check out this collection of quick, easy and delicious recipes for your tailgating and football parties! Whether you’re cooking for the whole team or just the offensive line, these dishes are guaranteed to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites!
Starters:
Frank’s® RedHot® Buffalo Chicken Dip:
Prep: 5 minutes Makes: 4 cups
Bake: 20 minutes
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
½ cup blue cheese salad dressing
½ cup crumbled blue cheese
½ cup Frank’s® RedHot® Sauce
2 cans (12.5 oz. each) Swanson® Premium Chunk Chicken Breast,
drained
Assorted fresh vegetables and/or crackers
Stir cream cheese in 9” deep dish pie plate until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Bake at 350°F. for 20 min. until hot and bubbling. Stir. Serve with vegetables and crackers for dipping.
Tips:
– Substitute ranch dressing for blue cheese dressing and shredded mozzarella cheese for blue cheese crumbles.
– Make it tailgate friendly – prepare ahead of time and transport in a disposable heavy foil pan. When you get to the tailgate heat it on a grill and serve nice and hot!
– Make this in the microwave by heating it on high for 5 minutes instead of baking.
– Keep it warm in a crockpot or slow cooker.
Chicken Nachos:
Prep: 10 minutes Makes: 6 servings
Cook: 5 minutes
1/2 cup Pace® Picante Sauce
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
2 cans (4.5 ounces each) Swanson® Premium Chunk Chicken Breast
in Water, drained
1 bag (about 10 ounces) tortilla chips
Chopped tomato
Sliced green onion
Sliced pitted ripe olives
Heat the picante sauce, soup and chicken in a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat until the mixture is hot and bubbling, stirring often.
Place the chips on a platter. Spoon the chicken mixture over the chips. Top with the tomato, onion and olives.
Sweet & Spicy Chicken Wings
Prep: 10 minutes Makes: 24 pieces
Bake: 35 minutes
12 chicken wings or 24 chicken drumettes
1 cup Pace® Picante Sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Cut off the chicken wing tips and discard. Cut the chicken wings in half at the joint. Place the chicken into a foil-lined shallow baking pan.
Stir the picante sauce, honey and ginger in a large bowl. Toss chicken with 1/3 cup of the picante mixture.
Bake at 500°F. on the lowest oven rack for 35 minutes or until the chicken is crispy and cooked through, turning the chicken over once halfway through baking. Remove chicken from oven and toss with the remaining picante mixture.
Lighter Chicken Quesadillas
Prep: 15 minutes Makes: 4 servings
Bake: 10 minutes
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell’s® Healthy Request® Condensed
Cream of Chicken Soup
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cans (4.5 ounces each) Swanson® Premium White Chunk Chicken
Breast in Water, drained
8 flour tortillas (8-inch)
Heat the oven to 425°F. Stir the soup, chili powder, cheese and chicken in a medium bowl.
Place the tortillas onto 2 baking sheets. Spread about 1/4 cup soup mixture on half of each tortilla to within 1/2 inch of the edge. Brush the edges of the tortillas with water. Fold the tortillas over the filling and press the edges to seal.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the filling is hot.
The Main Event:
Easy Meatball Parm Hero
Prep: 5 minutes Makes: 4 servings
Cook: 25 minutes
2 cups Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce or
Tomato, Basil & Garlic Italian Sauce
16 frozen fully-cooked meatballs (1 ounce each)
4 long hard rolls, split
4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese (about 1 cup)
Grated parmesan cheese
Heat the sauce and meatballs in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 20 minutes or until the meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally.
Spoon the meatballs and sauce into the rolls. Top with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
The Game Winner:
Chocolate Goldfish Pretzel Clusters
Prep: 5 minutes Makes: 24 pieces
Cook: 2 minutes
Chill: 30 minutes
1 package (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces (about 2 cups)
2 1/2 cups Pepperidge Farm® Pretzel Goldfish®
1 container (4 ounces) multi-colored nonpareils
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
Place the chocolate into a microwavable bowl. Microwave on MEDIUM for 30 seconds. Stir. Repeat until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Add the Goldfish and stir to coat.
Drop the chocolate mixture by tablespoonfuls onto the baking sheet. Sprinkle the clusters with the nonpareils.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until the clusters are firm. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
