Through MomSelect and MommyParties we had the opportunity to host a Thomas The Train Mega Bloks Party. Since it was almost Halloween, we made it a non-scary Halloween party! The night before I had my 4 year old son help me figure out where the stickers went on the Dieselworks Set we received, then set it up on our train table. When Jackson’s preschool friends arrived at the party and saw the train set they were SO excited and started playing with it immediately. I heard exclamations like “OOooh! Thomas!” and Before I had kids of my own, I was a nanny so I know from experience that Thomas the Train is always a hit with kids and this set was certainly no exception. The block aspect added even more excitement to the already well-liked brand.
Kids age 3 and up will love these Thomas & Friends Mega Bloks playsets. The storage bucket doubles as a track. Just open the lid and flip it over. Use the other 16 Mega Bloks pieces that are included to build a quarry for Deisel the Train to carry his coal through. Have him pass through the swinging doors, drive through a tunnel and over a bridge to make his delivery. This set is great on its own and convenient for travel but it is also compatible with other Thomas the Train Mega Bloks sets for expandable play. The small Thomas the Train Mega Bloks Bucket sets come in “Deisel” or “Thomas” and retail for around $15.
Each of the kids at our party got to take home their very own Thomas the Train Mega Bloks Set. Parents contacted me afterwards to let me know how much fun their kids had and that they had been playing with the block sets non-stop. I believe it because it’s been the same around here. I think we found a new favorite toy!
