Unfortunately, when the package from Tortuga Caribbean Rum Cakes came, I was out of town all week for the holiday. I told my neighbors they could open the box though (they were picking up my mail, feeding the cat, etc…). I told them to dig in and give me their opinion. Unfortunately, the opinion was not very favorable from one. The children loved the cake stating that it was a great treat for them and had no problem gobbling it all up. The mom wasn’t much of a fan though. She said she was surprised she could taste all of the rum. Since she’s not a fan of the taste of rum, she wasn’t a fan of the cake. I think it sounds delicious and it’s too bad I didn’t get to enjoy, but it was probably a blessing after the holidays haha.
