My oldest daughter daughter has developed quite an opinion about fashion. As a middle child with an older brother, she’s always been pretty tough and there was a time when I thought she was sort of a tom boy. It didn’t last long. The skirt is well made with a smooth, flat elastic waist band. It is designed not only to fit, but to grow along with your child. Making something reversible while still being nice looking on both sides isn’t easy but TwirlyGirl does it well. Each side looks as good as the other. There is no inside-out. They use a 4 thread overlock stitch in their seams instead of 3. This means that the construction holds up really well even under playing conditions. The fabrics are colorfast and machine washable and TwirlyGirl products are made in the USA.The ruffle edge on this girls reversible skirt gives it just the right amount of feminine flair and the bright colors are playful and fun.
McKinley couldn’t wait for sunny day so she could go out and twirl in the yard. She had a great time twirling, then getting dizzy and crashing. I captured her most graceful twirl here:
Our sloped yard made it hard for her to stay on her feet for long! She sure did have fun though!
