Umi uses a European sizing system that includes sizes from 19 to 38 (a US equivalent of infants size 1 to adult size 6). Prices range from about $15 on sale to around $80 for full price current season styles.
This time around I selected a pair of shoes for my 1 1/2 year old daughter McKinley. She’s a very active little girl and it was hard for me to get a picture of her in her new shoes. These were the best I could get:

I think this is my favorite pair of Umi shoes yet. The inside is comfortably cushioned while the Velcro strap makes them easy to put on while keeping them securely on little feet. The rubber sole extends a little over the tip of the toe which really prevents these shoes for appearing “worn” even when they are. Most shoes get really scuffed on the toes after only a few wears. McKinley has played outside in this pair quite a few times and they still look brand new. I believe this is because of the shoe’s design- brilliant! If you are looking for a quality pair of shoes for back to school, I can confidently recommend Umi for shoes that will last and wear well.
