For many, many years I looked forward to May when our elementary school would put on a “Moms & Muffins” morning. Dads would serve delicious muffins and juice to mothers (or mother figures) and their kids before school in honor of Mother’s Day. Last year the event didn’t happen due to Covid and then we moved. I don’t know if our new school normally does a similar event but even though we’ve been back in school for most of the school year, most events have been cancelled to stay on the safe side.
