Easter is sneaking up fast this year! It’s time to start thinking about filling Easter baskets. Personally, I like to include activity items to give my children something to do. Things like puzzles, markers, chalk and bubbles rather than a basket full of candy. This year I found some neat items that are really great because they help teach kids about the real reason for the Easter holiday. Wee Believers, a company committed to inspiring children in their faith has come out with some new Easter items that feature the resurrection scene. The items include a jumbo double-sided puzzle, a Magnet Book with 15 moveable pieces, and a Pop-Out 3D wooden puzzle. If you’d like something more suited to year round play, the 2-in-1 Noah’s Ark Floor Puzzle is a good choice. It was a huge hit with my 4 year old son who has recently discovered the joy of puzzle building.
The 2-in-1 Noah’s Ark Floor Puzzle is 28 inches round and features two different scenes (one on each side): Noah with a parade of animals and Noah’s Ark and underwater friends. When asked how he liked the puzzle Jackson replied “It was really hard, but good.” There are 48 pieces to this puzzle but I think the difficulty came with the double sided pieces and the fact that it’s round instead of square or rectangle. It took him a little longer than usual to build a puzzle like this but he stuck with it and was really happy with the finished product. He loved all of the picture of the animals and was excited to build the puzzle a second time with the other scene. Priced at $12.99, it’s an affordable gift though this particular item probably won’t fit in an Easter Basket.
I encourage you to check out what Wee Believers has to offer. While we don’t attend church, I still want my children to know that Easter isn’t just about candy and the Easter Bunny. Wee Believers makes many products that make it easy to incorporate faith into playtime. Information on all of the Wee Believers products can be found at www.WeeBelievers.com.
