Our elf, Wilson has been doing good deeds and entertaining our family over the past couple of weeks and I just wanted to share what he has been up to! We sure have been enjoying his stay with us!
One morning the kids woke up to discover that while they were sleeping, Wilson cleaned up they toy room with a bulldozer!
I bought the kids their own nativity this year and they were supposed to be responsible for keeping track of all of the pieces (a big responsibility for a 2 year old and a three year old!) They did great for the first week or so but then baby Jesus went missing. Days of searching didn’t produce the missing child. But one morning we discovered the above scene. Not only did Wilson find Jesus but he also found Mary, the angel, one of the wise men and a donkey who we had hadn’t even realized were missing!
Luckily, we got a very neat and tidy elf who isn’t fond of messes or things out of place. I hear that’s not always the case with elves so I guess we are pretty blessed. Here’s Wilson making sure the angel atop our mini tree is on straight. No lopsided angels allowed for this elf!
We have less than a week left to spend with Wilson before Santa picks him up on Christmas eve to help him deliver presents. We are sure going to miss him when he goes but we look forward to him returning next year!
You can read more about how we became a host family for Wilson and his first few days at our home in this post.
