I’ve started giving myself 10 minute challenges. I set my timer for 10 minutes and tackle a household chore while my children are having a snack or lunch. It’s amazing how much you can accomplish in only 10 minutes when you focus on the task. The 10 minute challenge is a weekly feature on Mommies with Cents. Each week, I will show you one of the things I was able to accomplish in 10 minutes. I encourage you to join me- it really easy amazing what you are able to achieve, even if it’s incremental, if you set your mind (and timer!) to it!
While I was pregnant with my third I stared at these pictures everyday:
They hang above the dresser in our bedroom. I’d stare at them and wonder where I’d hang the picture of the baby that was growing inside of me. Would it be a boy and hang with Jackson? Or would it be a girl and hang with McKinley? Parker finally arrived and I knew where the picture would go but it took me almost 4 months to get it there. First I got a frame and put the hospital picture in it but it never made it to the wall. Then I got the 3 month pictures taken and it still sat there. I started feeling a little guilty when Jackson asked me where Parker’s picture was so I finally did it. I hung the picture:
Now I stare at my beautiful kids up there on the wall and think the arrangement looks uneven. Maybe we need another boy?!
I’d love to hear ways you manage your time at home with kids. Please share your tips with me and our other readers by leaving a comment, then come back next week for another 10 minute challenge!
Be sure to check out all of our other 10 minute challenge posts!

Love the idea of the 10-minute challenge! As for the picture challenge at hand, do you have a family picture that you could hang directly below your wedding pic? Then, you could hang all three kid pics vertically to the right of those. Make any sense? Hard to describe without pen and paper!

Hmm…I’m not picturing what you’ve described. We don’t have a family pic with all of us yet but I do have one of the three kids together. I’ll have to think about rearranging them. Thanks for the idea!
