By Nieves Review & Giveaway

By Nieves is an award winning independent company that makes organic apothecary-style  body care products.  We received three different ones to try for our review:

• Face Fix– Packaged in a glass bottle with a shaker style top, this facial scrub/mask is made with organic herbs including White Willow, Chamomile and Lavender and White Kaolin clay. The ingredients are designed to soothe, calm, tone, refine and tighten the skin. I loved way it easily dispensed like a salt shaker.  It worked well as a gentle exfoliant but I didn’t try it as a mask.  To do so, the directions say to mix the powder yogurt or honey (or water).  I’m sure it would make a lovely mask and if I ever get a few minutes to myself for a relaxing bath I definitely want to try it!
• C Perfect Skin– A nutrient rich antioxidant face formula containing evening primrose oil, sesame oil, Squalene and Benzoin to name a few, promotes skin clarity and anti-aging.  This blend of oils is a great follow up to Face Fix.  Some people may be a little uncomfortable putting oil on their face but these types of oils are actually perfect for facial skin.  I recommend giving the pump style bottle a little shake before applying to mix the oils as they tend to separate a little.
• Cloud of Protection–  A small glass spray bottle filled with a concoction of essential oils that are reported to “clear the air of airborne pathogens and clears space on an energetic level , deodorizing, sanitizing and sanctifying all at once.”  I can’t attest to effectiveness of all of those claims but I can say that Cloud of Protection smells surprisingly good and would make a great little pick me up to keep on your desk in your office.
